✨Our most Common Question✨
One of the most common questions we get is:
“What should I be doing between appointments?”
Your treatment doesn’t stop when you walk out the door. The real magic happens in the days and weeks that follow — when you support the work we’ve done and allow your body to adapt, recover and strengthen.
Here’s how to protect your progress and get the most out of your last session.
1. Stay Hydrated 💧
After myotherapy or remedial massage, your body continues processing the changes we’ve made. Drinking plenty of water supports circulation, tissue recovery and overall muscle function.
2. Keep Moving (Gently) 🚶
Rest is important — but so is movement. Light stretching, walking, or prescribed mobility exercises help maintain the improvements in range of motion and prevent stiffness from returning.
If we’ve given you specific exercises, they’re not random — they’re chosen to reinforce the exact work done during your session.
3. Be Aware of Posture & Daily Habits 👀
The way you sit at your desk, carry your bag, sleep, or train at the gym all impact how long your results last.
Small adjustments in daily habits can:
• Reduce recurring tension
• Prevent flare-ups
• Extend the time between appointments
• Improve long-term outcomes
Consistency beats intensity every time.
4. Prioritise Recovery 🛌
Quality sleep, balanced nutrition and stress management all play a role in muscle health and nervous system regulation.
Massage helps reduce tension — but ongoing stress can quickly recreate it. Building small recovery rituals into your week makes a noticeable difference.
5. Don’t Wait Until You’re in Pain Again ⏳
Many people rebook only when discomfort returns. Preventative care allows us to maintain progress instead of constantly starting from scratch.
Regular treatments help:
• Manage chronic tension
• Improve mobility
• Reduce injury risk
• Support long-term musculoskeletal health
Think of it as maintenance for your body — not just damage control.
Your body responded to your last appointment because it was ready for change. Supporting that change between sessions helps your results last longer and feel better.
If you’re unsure what you should be focusing on before your next visit, just ask at your appointment — we’re always happy to guide you.
